The Rebel 1100 engine is derived from the celebrated Honda Africa Twin but adapted to perform the cruiser role. It is a liquid-cooled parallel twin that displaces 1083cc. The flywheel is twenty percent bigger than the Africa Twin, giving the Rebel better inertia. The 85hp and 72 ft-lb are transmitted through a six-speed manual or dual-clutch (DCT). The 2023 Africa Twin DCT is Honda’s big push to get more people both onto bikes, and also going adventuring with them.
