13. Champions' charging bonus The champions have their attack statistic increased when charging at and attacking an enemy unit in the same round. The further away from the enemy unit at the start of the round, the higher the increase in attack. The distance is measured by the squares of the battle terrain.
Retreating means that your heroes don’t get any experience points at all, regardless of how many enemies they’ve killed, and they also suffer from stress for failing their mission.
